چکیده
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the association between children and adolescents’ body composition with family income. Methods Cross-sectional study, participants 5 19 years were included. A standardized questionnaire assessed socioeconomic variables. The outcome variables z-score of Body Mass Index bioimpedance parameters (skeletal muscle mass, fat-free fat percentage) predictor (age, sex, race, place residence, father’s education, birth weight breastfeeding) analyzed using quantile regression model data from 50th percentile are presented. tests bidirectional differences considered significant p<0.05. Results Among 529 included, 284 (53.6%) female mean age was 11.41±3.9 years. only that did not show sexes (p=0.158). In crude model, lower income associated skeletal mass (Difference=-7.70; 95% CI -9.32 to -5.89), p<0.001), (Difference= -13.40; -16.40 -10.39, p<0.001) lowest percentage -5.01, -9.91 -0.11, p=0.027). BMI Conclusion Family is directly percentage, in adolescents.

متن کاملAssociation of Body Composition with Curve Severity in Children and Adolescents with Idiopathic Scoliosis (IS).
The link between scoliotic deformity and body composition assessed with bioimpedance (BIA) has not been well researched. The objective of this study was to correlate the extent of scoliotic-curve severity with the anthropometrical status of patients with idiopathic scoliosis (IS) based on standard anthropometric measurements and BIA. The study encompassed 279 IS patients (224 girls/55 boys), ag...
